That time of the year when you'll be seeing Jack-O-Lanterns everywhere is about to arrive. Those little witches, ghouls, zombies, vampires and other scary creatures will be roaming the streets hungry for candy and other treats and you need to be prepared. Or maybe you're the type that throws Halloween parties so you and your friends can make total fools out of yourselves by wearing goofy costumes and whatnot. Either way, here's a roundup of spectacularly good-looking Halloween recipes you can make at home – without those dreaded food dyes that drain the health out of the creep factor!

1. Spooky White Hot Chocolate

Little ones will love this smooth and velvety cup of hot, white chocolate – sprinkle some edible googly eyes on top for the Halloween theme! The recipe comes in three colors, although only the white one is free of food coloring.

2. Devilish Punch

Those cups are evil – or so they look. This one is for grown-ups but if you skip the alcohol it turns into a great kid-friendly Halloween drink! Just be wary of those horns as you're sipping from the cup or the Devil will punch you in the face.

13. Halloween Stuffed Pepper Pumpkins

The most important aspect of this recipe is the way you carve those peppers. The original recipe features a grain blend as a filling, but feel free to use your imagination and make other fillings (I'm thinking cheese right now).

20. Skull Cake

The cake dough is pretty much a classic, although the shape is unforgettable! Of course you'll need to buy a 3-D skull cake pan, but it's totally worth it!

21. Howlin' at the Moon No-Bake Cheesecake

Ok I might be overdoing it with the cheesecake recipes, but I have to admit – I love cheesecake! This wolf-themed cheesecake has a more grown-up design, but it looks so stylish and I think the kids will love it too. You don't need to draw it – just use the provided printable template.
