That time of the year when you'll be seeing Jack-O-Lanterns everywhere is about to arrive. Those little witches, ghouls, zombies, vampires and other scary creatures will be roaming the streets hungry for candy and other treats and you need to be prepared. Or maybe you're the type that throws Halloween parties so you and your friends can make total fools out of yourselves by wearing goofy costumes and whatnot. Either way, here's a roundup of spectacularly good-looking Halloween recipes you can make at home – without those dreaded food dyes that drain the health out of the creep factor!

1. Spooky White Hot Chocolate

Little ones will love this smooth and velvety cup of hot, white chocolate – sprinkle some edible googly eyes on top for the Halloween theme! The recipe comes in three colors, although only the white one is free of food coloring.

2. Devilish Punch

Those cups are evil – or so they look. This one is for grown-ups but if you skip the alcohol it turns into a great kid-friendly Halloween drink! Just be wary of those horns as you're sipping from the cup or the Devil will punch you in the face.

3. Pumpkin Spice Smoothie

Halloween is all about pumpkins! The best flavors of the fall are mixed into this incredibly tasty smoothie. You can make it look more Halloween-ish by using some themed straws and/or glasses.

4. Spooky Blueberry Smoothies

Why add food colorant when you can get that beautiful color from blueberries and blackberries. Also, those homemade Ghostly Meringue Eyes can be used to decorate just about any Halloween drink!

5. Orange Jack-O-Lantern Fruit Bowls

Trying to get yourself and your kids to eat more fruits? They'll surely look tastier when served in these genius Jack-O-Lantern cups made from oranges.

6. Sorcerer's Apprentice Broomsticks

This salty snack is made from just 3 ingredients. Unless you have chunky fingers there's really no excuse not to make it.

7. Strawberry Ghosts

Wait till your kids see these – they'll be gone in no-time. No baking required – just some fresh strawberries, chocolate chips and some vanilla flavored CANDIQUICK coating.

8. Yummy Mummy Treats

These chocolate-covered, brilliantly-decorated pretzels will make kids love their mummy mommy!

9. Creepy Spiders on a Log

Maybe you eat raw celery sticks but how on Earth can you convince your children to eat those? These logs made out of celery sticks and peanut butter and decorated with plastic spiders will surely get the little ones to chew their greens!

10. Honeydew Bats

Are you up for some carving? Because that's really all you have to do if you want to impress your guests with these awesome looking fruit bats!

11. Olive Snake

A Greek salad looks good enough on its own, but can you resist the urge of crafting this cute olive snake to make it look even better? Or you can pair it with some veggie sticks and a guacamole or hummus dip for a healthy snack. Bonus tip: use green olives instead of black and you've got yourself a caterpillar!

12. Cackling Crackers and Full Moon Dip

If you like to bake you'll probably enjoy coming up with this impressive snack. This witch-themed snack looks amazing but your guests might avoid eating it so they won't ruin your artwork.

13. Halloween Stuffed Pepper Pumpkins

The most important aspect of this recipe is the way you carve those peppers. The original recipe features a grain blend as a filling, but feel free to use your imagination and make other fillings (I'm thinking cheese right now).

14. Spooky Green Monster Zucchini Noodles

This recipe is easy to make, it looks great and those hungry kids and grown-ups will gobble this healthy meal in the blink of an eye!

15. Pizza Mummy Braid

Who doesn't love pizza? Shaping the dough to look like a mummy is fun. You can also let your kids do this! Buy the dough or make it from scratch – entirely your choice.

16. Tentacle Pot Pie

I know this was supposed to look scary but to me it just looks incredibly yummy! Just look at those crunchy tentacles...

17. Pumpkin Pie Pop Tarts

If you're scared of making pie crust yourself, go ahead and buy it ready-made. The pumpkin-filling is very easy to make.

18. Jack-O-Lantern Cheesecake (Naturally Colored)

If you baked a cheesecake at least once then you already know it's really not that hard. This Halloween-themed cheesecake is pretty much the classic recipe except for the design. Just follow the instructions step-by-step for guaranteed success!

19. Oreo Bat Truffles

This is one impressive-looking dessert that can make any Halloween table look fabulous. It's also the perfect homemade dessert for a gift basket!

20. Skull Cake

The cake dough is pretty much a classic, although the shape is unforgettable! Of course you'll need to buy a 3-D skull cake pan, but it's totally worth it!

21. Howlin' at the Moon No-Bake Cheesecake

Ok I might be overdoing it with the cheesecake recipes, but I have to admit – I love cheesecake! This wolf-themed cheesecake has a more grown-up design, but it looks so stylish and I think the kids will love it too. You don't need to draw it – just use the provided printable template.
